About the title picture (Harlem)

I took the photo in Harlem New York City, December 2006 days before Christmas. I was on a bus heading toward Manhattan.

To me, the photo represents poverty on numerous levels, social and economic inequality of the actors in this scene, lurking violence, and hardship. Also there: bananas.
